Afridi blisters with bat, 38 of 17

Islamabad United are all set to face the toughest game of the PSL for them. This is the second playoff and both the teams will be eager to win and qualify for the finals. The loser will meet the end of the road here in PSL.

Both Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United have played well in the PSL so far. Islamabad United is the more silent giants’ kind of a team in PSL. They have won some games in the group stages and made it to the playoffs.

Last night they defeated Karachi Kings comprehensively in the second playoff. It was a one-sided contest in which the Islamabad United dominated the proceedings most of the time. Karachi Kings never looked into the game at all.

Islamabad United absolutely flattened them in both the innings. Their strength came to the front in full capacity with both bat and ball in the game and this sits his reason there is a lot of fan following of Islamabad United favoring them in the game today.

Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, has been rated as one of the best two teams in PSL so far, they have a strong in fact the best bowling line up to defend any total and we have seen them doing it with time to time in PSL.

Peshawar Zalmi also has a stiff batting line up. It is not as strong as they bowling but still it is not average as well Islamabad United will have to take the example of the first playoff in which Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi despite scoring a low total in the first innings.

Islamabad United dominated the whole proceedings but there looked confused against Afridi. There was nothing they could do against the power of Afridi who smashed 4sixes and 2 fours in his 38. Afridi was the danger man at the end but unfortunately, he fell in the deep trying to hit every ball.

As the game starts between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United there is already a lot of hopes and expectations building up as well from both the teams. At the moment, the two teams looked absolutely ready to counter each other.

First if we take a look at Peshawar Zalmi, they lost their first playoff game against the Quetta Gladiators which was a thriller and the match went to the last ball and it was Quetta Gladiators who managed to hold their nerves and defended the runs needed on the last ball.

But Peshawar Zalmi had a chance left. They were not out of the tournament yet. They had to play the winner of the playoff 2 which was between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings. This was the game which was won by the Islamabad United.
